Current Research Interest

  • Micro RNA-mRNA interaction.
  • DNA and RNA polymorphism.
  • Interaction of Drugs with DNA and RNA: Molecular basis of the antitumor action of alkaloids through biophysical studies.
  • Binding of a number of medically important natural products and small molecules to polymorphic nucleic acid structures like duplex, triplex and quadruplexes.
  • Photochemistry and photobiology of alkaloids.
